This is one of the very cool features of the Martial Arts-Channel website. This is streaming live on the internet with little more than a laptop, some software and a camera.
Martialarts-channel.com is making this technology available to all martial artists who would like to do live ppv streaming of their seminars or any event they want.
Today is a dubbing day to get ready for the OSGN next week. Martialarts-channel.com was trying to work out to be able to do the finals of the OSGN live on the internet but it seems there is a problem getting an internet connection at the location of the finals. So maybe next year.
One thing I can leak out is that we are working with a big MMA organization to bring a MMA show to the Internet using our streaming tech. Keep watching this blog and I will tell you once it is approved.
As for me I am planning on taking the weekend off to rest and regenerate after a very busy past few weeks. Because the next few weeks are going to almost as busy for Black and Blue video. So it will be seen if I actually get the entire weekend off? It has not happened in a long time so we will see.

I am finally back from Denver. That was some very long days. I got there on Wednesday and went right to work helping to stuff bags for the participants of the seminars. After we finished went to dinner at a very good restaurant called “The Yard House”, you need to try the six pack sampler of beer, it was great.
On Thursday we were not able to start setting up the video equipment until 4pm. There was allot of gear to set up, NAPMA had it all shipped in on a pallet. We finished about 9pm and then headed over to Master Steven Oliver’s house, he is the CEO of NAPMA, for a reception for all the Inner Circle, Peak Performers and crew members. That was allot of fun got to relax and talk with different people. I even almost beat Master Jeff Smith at pool.
Friday started early, 7am, to finish setup and get ready for the seminars, which started promply at 10am and went until almost midnight. I will say one thing about NAPMA, it has changed allot from past seminars. In the past they would have 5 or 6 rooms going on at one time, not anymore there was only one room on Friday and each seminar was dedicated to teaching you new ways to help grow your martial arts school. This is not the NAPMA of old, Master Oliver and Toby Milroy are striving to make NAPMA into the best source for the martial arts school owner who really wants to grow their business into a very successful enterprise. I was very impressed, as I have been to and even taught, allot of NAPMA conferences in the past and I can tell you this is a new day for NAPMA.
Saturday was more of the same with seminars starting at 10am and going well past midnight. My day started at 8am videotaping Mark Graden hosting a Drills seminar. Each participant was allowed 10 minutes to teach their favorite drill and Mark will edit these and add them to the NAPMA DVD they send out each month to all of their members. The seminars went from leadership training to how to get free publicity, to how to design your website to attract the search engines. Master Oliver spent allot of time going over in detail how to market your school. It was very informative to say the least.
Sunday was a short day as allot of the participants were flying out that afternoon. But we started at 10am and went until 2pm.

I am packing getting ready to go to Denver for a week long video shoot. I will be working for NAPMA at their 2009 Quantum Leap Seminars. These are a series of seminars for martial arts school owner and their staff. They have hired my services as a camera person for the week.
On Sunday when the seminars are all done, I am going to go video tape several fighters who will be on the
UWC Capital Punishment MMA Cage Fighting in Washington DC April 25th. I am the Production Coordinator and one of the Producers of the video production for the show. I am not sure who we will be videotaping but it will be fun. I will be working with the CEO of the UWC Marcello Foran. He produces and directs all of the video profiles we shoot. Am very tired after the fights last night at Plush. We tested out the new live Internet feed and it worked great. Learn a few things from the feed, like do not rely on wifi go hard wired if at all possible, do not open to many windows while doing a live feed and it really takes two people to do it right. One person shooting and one person to work the computer. We had a couple of times my laptop lost the wifi signal and I had to get it back up while shooting the fights. It was not easy but that is why we did this a s test to work out the bugs. But from all who have talked to me said it looked great. So I will take that as a good sign. We had some really good fights too. I am sad that this may be the last fight night at Plush at least until the summer. I do hope the club will start back up doing them again. But if they choose not to then I think Nightclub Knockouts will step in as the new promoter and will find us another club in Jacksonville to do the fights in. They are already doing fights in Daytona on a monthly basis at the Coliseum and are looking for other venues around the state and the southeast to put on shows.

I am getting ready to go to Washington DC for the UWC Man O War Cage fighting show this Saturday. I am the Production Coordinator and Assistant Director for the show. I am really looking forward to this show, there is going to be a World Title Fight and a women’s MMA Fight too.
